Novam Boutique are one of the highest quality candles for your home and the environment. Unlike mainstream candles, they contain no harmful ingredients linked to allergy-like symptoms, aggravated asthma or an irritated respiratory tract.
Our pure organic essential oils are used and sourced by some of the top local farms and our candles contain less than 30 percent of the fragrance oils. All of the fragrance oils are created to be paraben, phosphate and phthalate free. The wicks are all made from natural fibers.
Coconut/Soy candles also burn twice as slow as paraffin, allowing you to enjoy them for twice as long. Additionally, the scent is much stronger and more pleasant. Because of the lower melting point of soy wax, more liquid pools around the wick (releasing fragrance into the atmosphere more easily).
COCONUT/SOY CANDLES
Soy candles in general can burn 30-50% longer and of course cleaner than paraffin and have 95% less soot. They are a perfect choice for a eco-friendly and all natural alternative to paraffin candles.
ON YOUR FIRST BURN
When lighting your candle for the first time to let it burn until the wax melts to the outer edge of the jar. This will ensure you get the cleanest burn and best burn time with your candle. After your first burn, remember to trim you wick if there starts to be a build up at the end of the wick! Wick should be about 1/4 inch long.
WICKS
We use only all natural fiber wicks and these are generally self trimming as the candle burns down. Sometimes, however, a black “mushroom” may appear at the top of the wick. This is actually unburned carbon that the wick has collected. Once the candle has cooled you can trim this off if you wish and relight your candle.
SCENT
Our scents are a blend of Pure Organic Essential Oils and less than 30 % of naturally derived fragrance oils. The fragrance oils used are carefully sourced and are as plant based as possible. Most importantly, they are free of parabens, phosphates and phlatates.
CONTAINERS
Our containers can all be repurposed once the candle has been used. Remove the wick tab and clean out the remaining wax using warm soapy water. Depending on the container you have, it can be used for kitchen or craft storage, drinking glasses, vases, etc.
SAFETY TIPS WHEN BURNING CANDLES
- Keep out of reach of children & pets
- Always burn candles within sight, never leave candles unattended
- Burn on a stable heat resistant surface.
- Always discard any twine, hanging tags and candle package boxes before burning.
- Extinguish the flame if it becomes to close to the side of your container.
- Keep away from drafts & vents. Always keep candle away from anything that can catch fire.
- Do not touch or move candle when lit or when wax is melted, glass can become hot.
- Never burn candle more than 4 hours.
- Keep wax free of wick trimmings, matches and any other flammable material.
- Burn your soy candle in a well ventilated room.
- Do not burn candles all the way to the very bottom.
- Extinguish your candle if it smokes or if flame becomes larger than 1″. Let candle cool for at least an hour, trim wick and re-lighting.
